    Turmeric Apple Cider Vinegar Shot

I tried the turmeric apple cider vinegar shot, or what’s being called a shot for the morning.
    Watch the video here:
I’ve heard that curcumin in turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, and I wanted to see what this shot was all about (re: flavor and effects).
Now, in terms of flavor – I went the hardcore way with this drink, and used water instead of juice. I’m sure juice would taste better, but I didn’t want the extra sugar.

    Here’s the recipe I tried:
-Instead of the 2/5 cup of the juice of your choice, I used water (again, that’s the hardcore version)
    -1 tablespoon ground turmeric
    -1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    -1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    -1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
-1 tablespoon olive oil (and that’s not low in calories, but it is considered a healthier fat)
-1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
*Just for kicks ’cause I like spice, I also added a pinch of chile/lime blend – only a pinch because it’s not low in sodium

Most of these ingredients are said to work together to help your body better absorb the nutrients. But everyone is different, so the effects will depend on you and your body.
Oh! And make sure to follow up with plenty of water afterward.

You’ll have to watch the video for my reaction, but as for the effects – I can say I would use less olive oil next time. It was a bit thick and hard to handle without any juice. A few hours afterward I did feel good, but I couldn’t tell if that was linked to the drink or how my day was going. I think to get the full picture I’d have to try it a few more times.
If you have a chance to try, let me know what you think in the comments below or send me a message!
